The simulation of heat exchanger inside the thermoacoustic engine using PHOENICS

Investigator: Haruko Ishikawa
Collaborator: David Mee

A method of simulating heat exchanger inside the thermoacoustic engine using commercial CFD package was tested. This involves a simulation of heat transfer in the sound wave. Purpose of this simulation is eventually to develop a design methodology to build an efficient heat exchangers inside the thermoacoustic engine, Detail of this work is in Phd. thesis entitled "The optimum design of heat exchanger inside the thermoacoustic engine." by Haruko Ishikawa (1999)
