Fees, Registration and Accommodation
Due to sponsorship from the Crowne Plaza, we are able to offer a discount of $100 to the registration fees of any delegates who choose to use the Plaza as their accommodation for the conference. The Plaza room rates are as shown below, and have been discounted for conference delegates. The registration fee for all delegates (including students and emeritus academics) includes the proceedings, all lunches, morning and afternoon teas, the social function (Wednesday afternoon) and the formal conference dinner (Thursday evening). A daily registration fee of $250 is available for non-authors and includes food for that day (not the social function or conference dinner) and the proceedings on CD.
A delegate may present two papers at the conference as part of their normal registration fee (but can be a co-author on any other papers). Delegates wishing to present more than two papers will be asked to pay an additional fee which reflects hire charges for the conference centre. Registration must be received by 16 November to guarantee inclusion of papers on the CD and to be given a time slot for presentation.

Getting to the Conference Site
Remember in planning your journey that Queensland does NOT operate on daylight savings time - we are 1 hour behind other eastern Australian states.
The conference site can be easily reached from either the Brisbane Airport or Coolangatta Airport. The hotel web-site has some travel information. Otherwise see below.
From the Brisbane International or Domestic Airports, one option is to travel by train. Purchase a ticket for connection to Robina station (cost about $A25.00) which is about a 90 minute journey. From there catch a taxi to the hotel, a travel distance of about 10 km (cost about $A15.00). Its also possible to leave the train at Nerang and catch a taxi. A taxi fare from the airport direct to the hotel will be about $A135.00 and take about 50 minutes.
The second option is a door-to-door service.
Both Airtrain Connect and Coachtrans Buses offer a door-to-door service from Brisbane Airport to your Gold Coast accommodation.
This will cost around $A38 one way and $A70-74 return.
Please see their websites to make a booking and for further information:
From the Coolangatta aiport, a taxi fare is about $A40.00 and takes 25 minutes
Alternatively you can catch a Gold Coast Tourist Shuttle direct to your accommodation. This will cost $A18 one way and $A33 return. For further information, please go to: http://www.gcshuttle.com.au/shuttle_transferserv.htm.
Public transport options from both airports including travel times, fares and route planners can be found at TransLink.
